**  CAMPER SUPERVISION & PICK-UP POLICY **

Our check-out procedure for the past 24 years has been to have campers, when their ride arrives, turn in their meal card & evaluation form to their court coach who then checks them off when they are leaving.  With our day campers, parents have signed them out with a staff person daily.  We have not had any problems, however, we feel it is necessary with the addition of the younger campers to provide parents an opportunity to designate an individual who is solely responsible for picking up their child and have this person positively identified by the camp staff.

We implemented a procedure last summer to accommodate parents who would like to designate an individual responsible for picking up their child from camp.  Parents are given the opportunity on their child’s Medical/Insurance/Parent Permission Form to designate an authorized individual who will be positively identified by the staff and solely responsible for picking up the camper from camp.  A clear copy of the designated person’s driver’s license must be included with the child’s medical form or turned in to the camp at check-in.   In addition the designated person must also present their driver’s license to our staff and sign the camper out.  We will have a staff member and area for all campers who have designated a pick-up person for their child to check out with.  PLEASE understand that the camper will only be released to this individual no matter what the circumstances.  No last minute carpool rides with friends will be allowed.  Your check out time will also be increased due to having to check I.D.s.  IF you want either you or your spouse to be designated please fill out both names in the space provided.  Do not assume just because you are the other parent that the camper will automatically be released to you.  The procedure has been implemented for those who wish to specifically designate the listed persons as being the only ones allowed to check-out the camper.

Since many of you have a long drive and want to get back on the road quickly, parents may waive designating a person to pick up their child from camp.  By not designating a person to pick your child up from camp, you, the parents, have made arrangements for the camper’s pickup to be with people known and approved by you and have discussed these arrangements with the camper.
